Cornell University Summer Leadership Program

Volunteer
This program is a very heavily college-bound preparatory program. One on occasion, I took part in a large mock college interview to help the students who are in the program. I gave a speech and told them a little about myself, and the students asked me questions, pretending to be college admissions deans.
Comunilife Internship

Information Technology Intern
Summer Information Technology Internship for comunilife, a non-profit organization that helps HIV infected/drug addicted/homeless/mentally unhealthy or otherwise disadvantaged people integrate into society better. What makes you stand out?

My common application essay was about how I was diagnosed with autism and how I dealt with it. It certainly isn't noticeable now which raises the question about how accurate the diagnosis actually was but I talked about how being branded as autistic affected me and my confidence from my childhood through now, about how I overcame. I talked about the things about me as a four year old that warranted an autism diagnosis and how I have changed and progressed.
