Stanford is an amazing campus, but sometimes, the campus party scene is not as great as
in other schools. There are definitely parties, but they are mostly huge, packed, sweaty frat
parties. Other than that, Stanford is pretty lively, and you can definitely find something
interesting to do. Anyone else agree?

Agreed. The parties are ok. They all end before 1 am, but I feel like I am usually never bored at Stanford. There is always something to do and activities going on.

do students from Stanford ever go up to SF? If so, how often?
Sometimes students make their way up there. I only go a couple of times a quarter. I would assume that upper classmen that have cars are much more likely to go. It is not that convenient going in the train.
Freshmen at Stanford aren't allowed to have cars on campus because they don't have parking passes. However, freshmen always find ways around it by having upperclassmen buy their parking passes. Freshmen that have cars usually go up to the city a decent amount of times.
A lot of students ride their bikes into town. It isn't that far from University Ave which has a lot of great restaurants. Also there is a shopping mall that has sprinkles cupcakes!
Freshmen at Stanford can have cars if they appeal for one. It depends on the availability of parking passes. I have several freshmen friends who have cars.
