Is handball a popular sport outside of NY? I heard from lukiih (she's on cSTAT under Wellesley) that handball is different in California

I don't think many people play handball outside of New York. There is an Olympic sport called Team Handball but it isn't the handball we know in New York. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_handball

There's also Chinese handball which is played more in, you guessed it!, China. It's played quite differently too.

American handball is mostly popular just in New York, but hey thats a new sport you can introduce if you ever travel to a different state :p

Californian handball is not Team Handball. It's actually very similar to NY handball. The only difference is that the CA handball is the size of a basketball.
