Anyone know any good Colleges that has these as major choices? I know of Full Sail University in Florida, but I was hoping to find one close by New York.

Tisch School of the Arts @ NYU! It is one of the very very best for film and media production. They even have a collaborative major with the Stern business school for entertainment producers. If you're looking more into recording music, Steinhardt @ NYU has a great program too. Clive David started at NYU. Rick Rubin (who is one of the founders of Def Jam) even started his record label in his NYU dorm. Tisch is among the best and it is right in Washington Square. In NY, there's also the NY Film Academy if you're looking for Film-related schools. And if you're willing to branch out, take a look at USC's film and production program. It's one of the few that rival Tisch. From what I've heard, Tisch is more for Indie film kids whereas USC is more for Hollywood Blockbusters.

Five Towns college has a great Music and Production programs. I visited them and I was surprised by the wealth of resources they have for a small college. I would definitely suggest checking them out. Here is the link to their site: http://www.ftc.edu/
