So I have a few questions regarding these two tests..

What is the difference between the ACT and SAT?
Why do most colleges require the SAT and not the ACT?
Is it better to take both the SAT and ACT rather than just taking the SAT?

Nowadays, most colleges accept both the SAT and the ACT. There is even a growing number of colleges that are not asking for standardized test scores. Traditionally it has been that students in the midwest take the ACT and students from like the east and west coasts take the SAT. This has changed recently. I think that the SAT tests more of your ability and skills while the ACT tests more of your knowledge in certain subjects. I would recommend taking both and seeing how you do. You don't have to send your scores.
